It’s About Sharing
GEO is a Christian led business with a Godly worldview. We support evangelical missionaries through our business and a percentage of any profits we make goes back into world missions. GEO even has a program to sponsor missionaries in obtaining a Premium Starter Kit. We got into the business of sharing essential oils from Young Living because we were so excited about the support they provided us in developing a healthier lifestyle. Like most others, were not big fans of “network marketing” at first (who is?). But, once we realized that we were just sharing good things with friends, it was no longer network marketing. It became all about the relationships and friendships that we developed. We learn and benefit from those relationships and we trust our friends do as well. One of the things that was surprising to us as we traveled this journey were the numerous links to essential oils in the Bible.
There is a Link
The more we learn about natural wellness the more we see the link. When we talk about natural wellness, we mean using natural things to promote a healthier lifestyle. This can be natural/unprocessed foods, plant based products such as essential oils, natural cleaning solutions, and natural dietary supplements. GEO does not recommend doing anything outside of the knowledge of your medical doctor. Nor would we ever imply that western medicine is not needed or beneficial. But, there are many natural products available to us that can promote health and wellness and may help keep us from needing to automatically default to popping a pharmaceutical.
When God created… well, everything, He provided us with amazingly good things. The more that science discovers about our bodies and the things around us, the more we are able to see the complexity and mastery in the design. We love to see the miraculous nature of His creation and share that understanding with others. It has been such a blessing to be able help friends link increased knowledge of essential oils and natural wellness to a greater awareness of their spirituality. We have also been able to help our spiritually aware friends better understand the beauty and benefits of using things from God’s creation to live a healthier life. We truly believe there are strong links between physical and spiritual health.
Essential Oils in the Bible
There are over 600 references to essential oils and/or the aromatic plants from which they were extracted in the Bible. This includes mention of about 33 specific oils or aromatic oil-producing plants. Dr. David Stewart wrote a great book that discusses all of these references. We would highly recommend his book if you are interested in learning more. In future posts, we will be sharing stories from the Bible and exploring many of the oils these stories mention.
