The Importance of Alkalinity to Health

Everyone knows to put lemon essential oil in their water to detox the liver, right? But it goes much deeper than that. It helps move the body from an acidic pH state to an alkaline pH state.

Alkalinity’s effect on the body

The pH of the blood is very tightly controlled by the body. When serum pH becomes too acidic, then calcium is robbed from the bones, and biochemical changes begin to slowly tax and stress liver tissues. Unfriendly bacteria and fungi that are in our intestines thrive in an acidic environment and secrete mycotoxins, which are the root cause of many debilitating conditions.

Symptoms of high pH

Symptoms of excess internal acidity are fatigue, unexplained aches and pains, overweight, low resistance to illness, unbalanced blood sugar, allergies, headaches, mood swings, indigestion, ulcers, UTI’s and rectal/vaginal itching.

Ways to balance pH levels
