Paw Pad Protection

What do you use on your pet for paw pad protection?  Those poor paw pads! They can become quite irritated even through the normal “wear and tear” of daily walks on hot pavement and rough terrain.  Do you have a pet that is in need of some extra attention to their feet?  If so, this is a great post for you to read.

Our gal Amber is a pet care professional and a true dog lover.  In her reviews for GEO, she utilizes the Young Living Animal Scents products and gives us feedback on how best to use them.  This post deals with finding support for her pets’ paw pads.

Amber’s Review

I used the Animal Scents Ointment on all three of my dogs’ paw pads to soothe dry skin or abrasions from our walks. I just rubbed a little onto each pad with my finger a few times a week. It can also be used before walks in the snow or ice to help protect paw pads from the harsh chemicals used for melting. I really like that it doesn’t have any harmful chemicals in it just in case they decide to do some taste testing and lick it off.

More Info

Remember there are no labeling requirements for pet products in general. Therefore most ingredients are not even listed on the container! Animal Scents Ointment contains no synthetic compounds or harmful chemicals and of course Young Living always lists all it’s ingredients on every product.

This ointment contains 10 therapeutic grade essential oils – Tea Tree, Bergamot, Coriander, Ylang Ylang Patchouli, Geranium, Myrrh, Balsam Fir, Carrot Seed and Palmarosa. Animal Scents Ointment also acts as a sealer when applied with other essential oils. It is a protective and soothing salve formulated for external use on animals (and safe on humans too).
