Men and Essential Oils
It is said about horses that you can lead them to water but you cannot make them drink. The horse’s frustrating rejection of the refreshing water jeopardizes his own well-being. As bizarre as this horse behavior may appear, this same behavior is all too common when it comes to men and essential oils! A woman can use the oils, talk about the oils, and even start her own essential oil business, but she can’t get her husband to smell or touch them. Sound familiar?
My Story
I know this scenario well, because I was that skeptical male. Although my wife was using essential oils and getting relief of her reoccurring head tension, I saw little need for them and didn’t want to sniff them or, gasp, touch them! However, my wife Diane was patient and methodical in her approach, giving nuggets of info at key times and samples at my weak moments. And then it happened.
After years of digestive troubles due to past cancer surgery, I thought I was heading back to the hospital to get my stomach pumped again. This painful and uncomfortable procedure was a temporary fix but never a long-term solution to my issues.
On this day, Diane suggested I try an oil blend specifically formulated to support digestive issues. In my despair I agreed to try it and with 2 applications I was back to work in an hour!! I never did go to the hospital and haven’t been back in almost 3 years!
So… I wrote a book about it
